I5 to I80
Stopped at Cisco Grove Campground & RV

I was looking through the list of my blogs a couple of days ago and saw that my first blog was in 2008.  It was our trip to High River for John & Diane's 40th anniversary.  And here we are going back to High River for the 50th anniversary!

Our first stop on that trip was in Stockton at the Riverpoint Marina and RV Resort.   It was such a lovely spot that we stopped by there again today.

On the way to the campground, along the San Juaquin River

Marina right beside the campground

We discovered Pea Soup Andersen's down the street this morning so that's where we had a great breakfast.

What a hoot to see this!  The other Pea Soup Andersen's is in Buellton (30 minutes north of Santa Barbara).

We made a stop at a Vista Point on I5 just to check the fridge and couldn't imagine what vista there might be.   Turns out one side was all green orchards and the other side the beige nothingness we've experienced on this road.  Didn't take a photo of the green because it was so hazy.

At the Vista Point, we got a laugh out of someone leaving a sofa bed!!  Ha Ha!

How great is this scene on I-80?

Found our way to this campground at elevation 5000 feet so it's 25 degrees cooler-yay! Very quiet here.   When we checked in they asked if we were going to have a fire - yikes!  I said all we want is a 30 amp connection for the air conditioner!

We are going to miss the Guitarfish Music Festival which starts in the campground tomorrow and runs through July 29th.  That's okay, we have our own music festival...
